fyi: tiny rss change because many feed readers are ignoring the dublin core module, i changed the antville rss output of item descriptions to the core namespace. please let me know if this should cause trouble in your readers.

The "Read More..."-Function On my personal antville-Wishlist: Couldn't it be like you write a new story and decide what parts are displayed, i.e. the first ten words, after which there is this common "More"-Link to continue reading after having clicked it? Wednesday, 14. November 2001

my thoughts about memberships this is a followup to an older post. currently you have 5 groups of users - 1. non-members, 2. antville-members, i.e. members on some other antville-site, 3. weblog-members, i.e. members of this particular site, 4. contributers and 5. admins of one site. there are differences between group 2 and group 3, but they are currently treated as being the same. antville members can comment and post on an open site without being weblog-member. on the other hand, the weblog-membership is required to receive the contributor or admin privilege. here are my idea from the user (not programmer) perspective. the normal user won't notice a difference but the admin will.
maybe we can have a chat on the phone, because i have some more ideas resulting from my experience with manila.

Memberships Hi, although I know for sure, a couple of people signed up to my log Ador.antville, there isn't at least one signed up user listed in the membership category? What's the prob? Tuesday, 13. November 2001

I just restarted the antville app to increase the cache size (we've been working with the default cache size of 1000 so far, and this was starting to noticeable slow down things). The new cache size is 8000, which should be well beyond the sweet spot (the point where the cache actually starts making sense because objects from the cache are reused before being flushed out by other weblog's objects). There were 550 active user sessions on antville.org at the time of the restart (many of which may have been robots or expired, of course). Sorry for the interruption. You should see speed increasing as the cache is filling up. ... Next page
