strange Behavior...

... in neger.ant:

sr wrote a story but obviously didn't set it "online", as it was never shown on the frontpage.

being logged in didn't notice this and wrote a comment.

now you can access the story through comment in the history timeline - although it's still offline.

in this case, it doesn't really matter, but in general shouldn't comments to offline-stories automatically be set offline too?

it's a bug

that will be fixed :-) thanks for the report!

i think

the real bug is that offline stories appear in the main log view in the first place (for admins and contribs). That's the case for a story manager, again.

thx, robert!

hns, i like it as it is - all in one. maybe offline stories could have a different color or something, as a compromise.

but it would be nice to allow the admin to set stories by other authors online/offline, not only delete them.

Did you notice that the story was offline when you posted a comment on it? I bet not. How would you like offline stories to be marked? That's a very fine line you'll have to walk between visibly marking postings and preserving the look + feel of your site.

Actually, what I propose is to have a story manager where you can either create a new story or access those that are set to offline. The ones that are online should continue to be accessed via the main site. That would be the most concise solution IMO.

that's how it's usually done, i know...

... but i still like the way to have it all in one place. don't know why. it feels "organic" somehow.

regarding story-handling antville now sticks to "instant gratification": write story, save it, and you'll see how it looks like. that's fine, but real story-management is impossible to do with that (how do you find a story written days ago that's offline? you'll have to step through calendar ...) also regarding the structure of the application a seperate story-manager would be nice. but i think it should contain all stories, not just the offline ones (just to ease handling of online-stories). btw.: for now, in the latest snapshot of antville admins are admins (they can do anything without restrictions), and offline-stories are clearly marked as offline.

i don't quite remember,

but i think it was actually intended not to be online.

kind of "personal note"

it was about the alignment of the calendar and recent update boxes.
