Allow "-" in aliases, names etc? Actually, "-" is an ok character for both host names/URLs and file names as well as inside Helma, so I see no good reason why not to allow it. It feels strange to writewithoutspaces.

and in nicks? can you also allow spaces, underlines etc. in user names?

yep +1 for allowing spaces in nicks. allows people to appear with their actual full name, or full fake name.

+1 for all of that. since antville doesn't use LIKE-clauses in sql-statements (except in search), the wildcard "" (matches any single character) shouldn't be a problem (should we forbid the "" in search-keywords?) ... comment
