URL to link conversion between <code> tags

If I enter a URL like foo.org, Antville converts it to a link. However, this doesn't make any sense between <code&rt; tags, because the link wouldn't end up as intended, i.e. foo.org<, but instead look like foo.org<, which is exactly what <code> is for. However, if I enter only 'foo.org' between the <code> tags, the desired result would be foo.org, without the link. Please fix.

BTW, I just noticed the horrible &rt; bug slipped into the code again... Actually, I just noticed I was an idiot. Once you confuse "less than" with "left than" (which makes no sense in the first place), you start thinking of the opposite as "right than"...

Re: URL to link conversion between <code&rt; tags

nex, i have no idea what you are referring to as "horrible &rt;-bug". could it be that you confused &rt; with >? just because i couldn't find any official reference for &rt;, and afaik this was never published as an alternative to >.

Right then!

Oops, how silly of me, sorry. Corrected (see above).

Re: URL to link conversion between <code> tags

Regarding the link-within-<code>: I'm having a look into this right now. Also into this issue Tobi came up with.

Re: URL to link conversion between <code> tags

The problem with links within the code tag can (and IMO should, unless there are any unwanted side effects) be solved by reversing the sequence of calling activateLinks() and format() in story.getRenderedContentPart() (activateLinks() should be called after format, when the skinnified content part has been rendered).

Tobi's problem was a bug in Helma which is now fixed in CVS.

Re: Re: URL to link conversion between <code> tags

Commited the activateLinks()/format() sequence fix to CVS after some testing didn't show any side effects.

Re: Re: URL to link conversion between <code> tags

the only side effect i found so far is that URLs at the beginning of a line are not activated anymore (because the url actually doesn't stand at the beginning of a line, there's a
before it). i changed the regex, it's in cvs now.
