antville.org update, Blogger API working again I updated antville.org to the current CVS snapshot. Sorry for the outage that was caused by that update. As usual, new code, new hope. Among the more visible changes, the Antville Blogger API is working again. In fact, I'm posting this using w.bloggar via Blogger API. Posting via Blogger API now supports getting the user's weblogs, getting the user's recent posts for each weblog and posting a title by including it within <title></title> tags in the posting's body. Tools like w.bloggar support this. It's cool, check it out! One downside to the update is that Keeping track of story read counters had to be disabled. It just caused too much database traffic (also see my previous posting). That means that from now on, you won't see any changes in your mostRead pages, at least as long as we get the new server.

Resized images look shite I uploaded a big jpg and the downscaled version was really jagged. Maybe it's not news, though. I usually optimize my images before I upload. So I hadn't noticed the lower quality earlier.

Thanks As a result of the fixed Blogger API the Comments Dump is up again. The title feature seems like a great idea. So far I've been emulating this with a little hack on the Comments Dump. ... comment

antville settings for w.bloggar unfortunately I failed using w.bloggar for an antville weblog hosted on the antville server. It would be great if you could give me a hint which settings I need for the configuration menus of w.bloggar. I tried the following, not really ingenious settings: blog tool: custom api server settings: acount alias: xxx.antville.org host: xxx.antville.org page: /api/RPC2 port: 80 timeout: 30 thanks in advance

Here's a followup bloggar question: w.bloggar 3.0 also offers image uploads. Is it possible to upload image files to mks.antville.org or alo.antville.org, and if so, what server and path settings should I use? The category/topics thing is another issue. With Nucleus, bloggar automatically displays title and category fields; with antville it just gets the title field.

I think the problem is that on antville the pictures have to be integrated into the database first. w.bloggar wings it via FTP.
