Migrating from McKoi to MySQL

Hello,

because of several problems with password-upper/lowercases and whatnot in McKoi, I would like to migrate to MySQL.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any suitable database converter on the web.

Do you have any useful tips?

For switching to mysql, I have to alter db.properties in /apps/antville, not the one in the antville root directory, as I understand...

changing your db

All you need to do is dump the data to files in any common format (CSV, XML, ...) and import it into the other db. I just skimmed the McKoi manual, it looks like it really has no built-in feature for dumping. However, you can use a 3rd party tool like SQL ToolBox or something of that ilk. As both dbs have a JDBC interface, that should be easy.

when you say 'antville root directory', you you mean 'helma root directory'?

Yes, I was referring to the helma root, i.e. where antclick's hop.sh is located.
