Two ours ago I've seen this here in my browser at comments and stories on impos.antville.org. These Umlauts (ä etc.) where showed in incorrect letters.

I think I've seen this at on time before.

I use macos 9.2 and 9.2 and NS 4.75. but strange, it is translated in html or not... browsers - you may never know.

just let us know when you spot the umlaut demon again. you might take a look at your encoding settings (that stuff called "iso-whatever" or "utf-8" etc.), though. maybe they switch secretly, just to bother the user?

try this:

1. go to your site and the umlauts are okay.
2. resize window and the umlauts are gone.

this bug is as old as the internet itself.

mal MS IE getestet, der machts. aber dieses problem fiel mir bisher lediglich hier bei antville auf! sonst nie.

einzige was NS macos nicht kann, sind stylesheets dauerhaaft wiedergeben. da passaiert es schonmal, daß man reload oder fensterverzerren muß, daß wieder alles vernünftig interprätiert wird. genauso wie querscrollen, obwohl es keinen anlaß gibt.

hauptsache jeder macht, wasser will, denkt man.

es kommt wie der regen, mal ja mal nein, es passiert mit beiden browsern (am mac 9.2.1) es ist verwunderlich. und selbstheilend? ich weiss es nicht
