Antville Project

Outage (Maximum Thread)

Yesterday from around 1500 PST to 2300 PST, I could not connect to antville. I'd get "Maximum Thread count reached." or "Request timed out." I guess server was overloaded?

Nope

it was a bug in the software that was triggered by some unhappy circumstance.

care to explain?

so some bug maxed out the evaluator pool? Is this what happened? BTW, how many evaluators do you run at antville?

sorry for not explaining

but you never know what kind of answer people are expecting.

If I remember right we're running antville.org with 20 evaluators, but I'd have to check to be sure. The cache size is set to 40.000 objects which equals to roughly 100 mb memory usage.

Cool Feature

That printMem thingy. (Had to link it :) Another question: Did you guys already think about some sort of a backup mechanism for weblogs? Like being able to transfer the content (including skins and everything "valuable") into a file which is downloadable and also uploadable again?

weblog export

is in memory already but currently has a low priority (afaik).
