How to insert image to my story? I tried using the tag "" directly into my story text. but the image never show up. What's wrong?

Do I have to edit the macros or something?

supposing you have uploaded an image and defined the name "myimage". all you have to do is to insert the following code:

<% weblog.image name="myimage" %>

that should do it.

When I tried to insert pics for the first time I didn't know I had to erase the brackets [ ]. So I wrote "[name]" instead of "name". You may laugh at me, but that was really confusing, it took me 1 hour to get it right ;-)
