"this" in macros shouldn't we avoid using "this" in skin macros by default wherever possible? i think reading a macro like <% story.title %> is much easier to comprehend esp. for beginners than <% this.title %>, isn't it?

maybe but i think the explicit story handler name wouldn't work for comment objects (which are extended story objects) right now. helma.org

for comment objects i should use <% comment.title %>, anyway, shouldn't i? or are stories and comments sharing the same skins? i don't think so, but as i said: let's keep "this" where it's not possible to change it.

I don't know if comments and skins are sharing skins, but that's the idea behind extending prototypes (inheriting dbmapping, code, skins). ... comment
