offline story in topic this story (sorry, only accessible for admins) was posted offline to the topic "First Timer" but even for admins it is not displayed at all in the topic view.

strange as it seems I think this is ok. Admins see topic pages just like anybody else, i.e. without offline stories. But they can access offline stories directly via their main URL. ... comment
