I use UTF8 on helma, everything is fine. I can post chinese on antville very well. But after restart helma, all the chinese char. become ????. Any idea about this bug? How it comes?

just finished the compiling of java and now I have a working antville server on FreeBSD 5.1, just for testing. Anybody else running antville on FreeBSD? very temporarily available here, just to prove. More Info about the machine here. Expect it to go down anytime...

Wir hatten Probleme mit den most read stories (alle Counter blieben 0) und den Referrers (es gab keine).

Unsere Lösung: Antville 1.0 erwartet alle 30 Sekunden einen automatischen Aufruf seiner globalen Funktion scheduler() in der Datei global/objectFunctions.js durch den Helma-Server.

Das cron-Regime des Helma-Servers wurde jedoch offensichtlich von helma-1.2.4-pre1 zu helma-1.2.4 umgestellt, so dass die aufzurufende Funktion (maximal Minutenauflösung) in die antville/app.properties einzutragen ist:

cron.scheduler.function = scheduler cron.scheduler.minute = 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46, 47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59

Danach Helma neustarten und im helma/log/antville_event.log das minütliche update von read-countern und referrer beobachtbar.

Dear Antville folks I just wanted to post some fan mail for you all who have worked so hard to build and maintain this site! I have about 5 blogs here and there, and this remains my favorite blog home.

The ease of use is soooooo much better than any of the large bloghosts I use or know of. I surely hope that the antville model is adopted by more hosts that will use the software and encourage fledgling bloggers. I feel very fortunate to have added my blog at the time in 2002 that antville was still accepting new blogs. Even though I am from the US and I see that the majority of blogs here are European, I feel welcomed and part of the antville community.
