I just checked in a fix for the global link macro, which was broken as reported here and here, and updated the file on antville.org. The global link macro should now work as described in the macro documentation, i.e. it can be used to create links where the target URL is passed as-is. Of course, using relative links is still possible by explicitly using weblog.link, story.link etc. The old method of using the request path to get a hopobject on which to call the link macro was buggy since the request path could lead to the weblog, a day or topic object or a story object for the same link macro tag, depending on how it was accessed.

during the last six weeks setting-up a bunch of weblogs with antville, i wrote down some things i noticed and turned them into a wishlist of features, requests or changes i'd like to see in antville. just for the records i posted it here, ready for discussion (some things might have been discussed already, please don't bother about this).

looks like an error message. i suppose a nicer design and a positive message like "your changes have been received. please click here to see the updated page" (or better) would cause less confusion.

remark: this page appears only with old netscape because of a bug. some explanation in german can be found here. check metababy with netscape 4.x for an example.

i'm sure that this has been requested before, but i'll add it anyway, because i consider it important: when i display a story or its short description, i want to be able to show the topic along with it and it would be cool if i could not only add a textual calue like story.topicName to the skin, but also insert an icon based on the topic.
for example, on the "home" page of my blog, there should be a little gif showing a dog next to all blurbs of stories belonging to the topic "dog"; and a little cat would be next to my cat-stories. now readers could instantly see the topic and you could also set the icons to be links to the respective topics.
could you implement that, pleeze?
