first of all, i think sooner or later the weblogs need search engines. otherwise i would have looked up whether the following was already requested (sorry if it was): please increase the time-out. i think everybody writing on a longer piece already made the acquaintance of getting logged-out after submitting it and having to write it once again (or remain unheard).

that's why i open the site in a different window and see if i'm still logged in before i check in an article. but the timeout would be irrelevant if we had permanent cookies.
